Table Runner or No Table Runner




Ahhh yes, the table runner. It offers the perfect place for a simple (or not sot simple) pop of color to bring personality and theme to a tablescape. The question is: when do you actually need to add a table runner?


What is a table runner?

A table runner was traditionally used in place of a tablecloth without taking away from the natural beauty of the table. If we dig a little deeper, "Originally, (we’re talking the 1600s here) tablecloths were invented so that diners could wipe their faces after finishing a meal. In most recent times, we use table runners to add decorum to our already existing tablecloth and/or table.
